[ it takes kate a moment to process that the scrunchie in benedict's hand is, indeed, her scrunchie. that he had somehow remembered she'd had one, when kate herself had been more than content to carry on like the thing never existed. it shouldn't surprise her — he's always been so good at paying attention to details — but for some reason it's sticking with her now.
